Oh Suzanne

Una canción que escribí hace unos años, cuando murió Leonard Cohen, y a la que le faltaban unos retoques. No sé si esta lista, pero creo que al menos ya está presentable.

Letra y música: Miguel Ganzo Mateo

Oh Suzanne where are you

I will wait here at your place

Oh Suzanne where are you

Lost in the flood with no trace

And the river is wild and angry without you

Without you, without you

Oh Suzanne where are you

Who is going to take my hand

Oh Suzanne where are you

You who used to travel blind

And the children in the morning are not mine

They are cute, but they’re not mine

We were all so busy

Lady of the harbour

When you cried

When you cried

Oh Suzanne where are you

I will ask the river now

Oh Suzanne where are you

But the river has no answer

I suppose that I was dumb to take for granted

That you would always be here

We were all so busy

Lady of the harbour

When you cried

When you cried

Nobody would listen

Lady of the harbour

When you cried

When you cried
